1) в математике - расширение кубической интерполяции ( cubic interpolation) для точек данных в двумерной регулярной сетке (regular grid); интерполированная поверхность получается более гладкой, чем в случае билинейной интерполяции (bilinear interpolation) или интерполяции по ближайшим соседним точкам (nearest neighbor interpolation)2) в КГА - метод повышения разрешающей способности изображений путём добавления пикселов, цвет которых устанавливается на основе анализа 16 соседних пикселов. Метод используется преимущественно при увеличении фотоснимков.
